Prof. univ. dr. ing. Remus ZĂGAN

Professor Dr. Ing. Remus Zăgan is a leading figure in maritime engineering and a recognized expert in cybersecurity applied to critical systems, with a focus on transport and maritime industry resilience.

He is an experienced professor at Constanța Maritime University (UMC), where he serves as the President of the Senate and has previously been a core member of the faculty for many years.

Professor Zăgan’s expertise in digital and maritime security is highlighted by his involvement in key projects and research:

  • Cybersecurity Focus: He is skilled in Cyber Security, Computer Science, and managing national and international research projects. His research often focuses on the vulnerabilities and cyber risk associated with ships and maritime systems, including the impact of human behavior on maritime cyber security.
